Medical Claims Specialist

Capital Region Orthopaedics (The Bone & Joint Center) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Medical Claims Specialist in our Business Office! (This position is full-time, days, Monday - Friday)

The position duties and responsibilities will be a combination of the following:

• Posting manual & electronic insurance payments.
• Research claims & denials to obtain timely payment.
• Daily correspondence with patients & insurance companies.
• Posting of EOBs
• Other ancillary office tasks as required

Essential skills and Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• Ability or experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Successful candidates must have 2+ years’ experience in a medical billing office.
• Candidates should have a strong understanding of medical terminology, as well as the ability to multi-task, perform accurate arithmetical functions, and be highly organized with excellent communication skills.
• Ability or experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and professional
