Summary

"Medical Coding Specialist" position located at RiverBend, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate medical coding and billing processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to our commitment to delivering outstanding surgical care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code medical procedures using NDC, HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-10 standards.
• Review and analyze operative notes for completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations.
• Assist in the development of coding policies and procedures.
• Support billing processes by ensuring timely submission of claims.
• Provide training and support to staff regarding coding practices.
• Participate in quality assurance audits related to coding accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical coding and insurance billing with proficiency in HCPCS, NDC, CPT, ICD-10, and Encoder Pro.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Proficiency with EMR and EHR systems required.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is required.
• A minimum 2 years of prior experience in medical coding is required and billing experience is desired.

Pay: $26.27 - $32.81 per hour
