Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmissions to deliver medical supplies and specimens efficiently across designated routes.
• Load and unload shipments using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring proper handling of sensitive materials.
• Navigate route driving with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic laws to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with healthcare providers, staff, and clients during deliveries.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records for accountability.
• Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely while managing multiple deliveries throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role involving route driving and heavy lifting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial vehicles preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures and equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, moving supplies, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles; certification as a <PERSON> driver is advantageous.
