Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and hospital administrators
- Demonstrate the features, benefits, and proper usage of medical devices to clinical staff through engaging presentations and hands-on training
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand clinical needs and recommend appropriate device solutions
- Collaborate with medical teams to facilitate device intake processes, ensuring smooth integration into existing workflows
- Stay current on industry trends, medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and advancements in medical technology to provide expert guidance
- Support patients by explaining device functions during procedures or follow-up care, ensuring optimal utilization
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and ICD coding where applicable for accurate reporting and compliance
Skills
- Strong understanding of occupational health principles relevant to medical device usage
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and education
- In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pediatrics, and medical terminology to effectively address diverse clinical scenarios
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and interpret intake information for tailored device recommendations
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems for proper documentation and billing processes
- Proven ability to educate healthcare providers on device operation while fostering trust and confidence
