Medical Device Transport Specialist

Objective:
The Medical Device Transport Specialist is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of durable medical equipment to healthcare facilities and patient homes throughout the greater Philadelphia area. This role includes the delivery and pickup of medical equipment, as well as the processing, cleaning, inspection, and testing of devices to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. The specialist will also support inventory management by maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper tracking of equipment..

Key Functions:

· Transport durable medical equipment to and from healthcare facilities and patient homes in a safe and timely manner

· Perform delivery and pickup of medical devices across the greater Philadelphia area specifically CPMs (Continuous Passive Motion)

· Load, unload, and secure equipment to prevent damage during transport

· Clean, disinfect, and process equipment in accordance with company and regulatory standards

· Inspect and test medical devices to ensure proper functionality and safety

· Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking and documentation of equipment movement

· Communicate with healthcare staff to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues

· Provide basic instruction or support on equipment use, as needed

· Perform routine vehicle checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations

· Follow all company policies, HIPAA guidelines, and infection control procedures

Competencies/ Qualifications

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

· Previous delivery, logistics, or healthcare experience preferred

· Experience handling medical equipment or durable medical equipment (DME) a plus

· Ability to lift, move, and transport equipment up to 50–75 lbs

· Basic mechanical aptitude for inspecting and testing equipment

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards

· Good communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

· Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation

· Flexibility to travel locally within the greater Philadelphia area

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
