A Sterilization Specialist is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the medical and surgical tools used in hospitals to avoid spreading of germs and infection.
Accountabilities
- Decontamination of surgical and medical instruments.
- Decontaminate operating areas and set up equipment for surgical procedures.
- Ensure hospitals comply with regulations, and work to protect their patients from any infection.
- Assembling medical equipment.
- Testing and performing quality control checks routinely to make sure that it’s running properly.
- Performing equipment inventory and restock supplies when needed.
- Maintaining accurate sterilization records.
- Keeping tools organized, sorting mismatched sets of instruments and making them available for physicians in a timely manner.
The employee’s duties are not limited to the above-mentioned accountabilities. The manager can assign other duties based on the business need.

Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in related specialization (chemistry, microbiology, biology, biochemistry)
- Professional Accreditation Certificate authorized from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
