Medical Esthetician and Laser Technician

Overview
Purple Basil Medspa is seeking a passionate, results-driven Medical Aesthetician / Laser Technician to join our growing team. This individual will provide exceptional client experiences while performing aesthetic and laser treatments under established medical protocols. The ideal candidate is confident in consultations, treatment planning, retail recommendations, and building long-term client relationships.

Duties

• Patient Care & Treatments
• Perform aesthetic treatments in accordance with state regulations and medical spa protocols.

Sales & Client Retention

• Recommend treatment plans, memberships, packages, and skincare products.
• Achieve monthly goals for treatment upgrades, memberships, and retail sales.
• Follow up with clients regarding treatment plans and future appointments.
• Build strong relationships that encourage repeat visits and referrals.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate treatment records and consent forms.
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Ensure treatment rooms remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Work within physician-established protocols and Texas regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Esthetician License required.
• Texas Laser Hair Removal Technician certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical spa, dermatology, plastic surgery, or aesthetic practice preferred.
• Experience with laser hair removal and energy-based devices preferred.
• Strong consultation and sales skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Experience:

• Conduct comprehensive consultations and skin assessments.
• Develop customized treatment plans based on client concerns and goals.
• Perform treatments including:
• Laser Hair Removal
• IPL Photofacials
• HydraFacials
• Medical Facials
• Chemical Peels
• Microneedling (if trained and permitted)
• Dermaplaning
• Skin Tightening treatments
• Educate clients on pre-care and post-care instructions.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and document progress with photos and chart notes.
• Proven experience as a licensed esthetician with specialized training in laser treatments and skincare procedures
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect confidently with diverse clients
• Knowledge of esthetic laser treatment techniques, dermabrasion, and body waxing procedures
• Familiarity with sanitation protocols and maintaining a sterile treatment environment
• Excellent communication skills to educate clients effectively about treatments and product options
• Experience in retail sales, product demos, makeup application, eyelash extensions, nail care, and deep tissue massage is highly desirable
• Valid TDLR licenses.
