Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience from arrival to departure. This role requires excellent communication skills and proficiency in medical software systems to handle scheduling, documentation, and patient inquiries effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software such as eClinicalWorks or Dentrix.
- Manage phone systems to answer calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits.
- Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow and care coordination.
- Assist in managing office supplies and maintaining a clean reception area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient typing skills for data entry and record management.
- A compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
