John K. Eshleman, D.O. and Transplex Center for Medicine & Rehabilitation are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our fast-paced multidisciplinary medical and personal injury rehabilitation practice.
Our office manages a high-volume patient flow with over 100 patient consultations weekly and specializes in family medicine, personal injury, rehabilitation, and workers’ compensation care.
We are looking for a dependable, organized, and computer-savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can efficiently multitask while delivering excellent customer service to patients, attorneys, case managers, and medical providers.
Responsibilities
- Answer and manage approximately 50+ incoming calls daily
- Prior Authorizations for medications and referrals
- Schedule patient appointments and consultations
- Verify insurance and collect patient demographic information
- Check patients in and out efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Scan and upload records into electronic medical record systems
- Coordinate with attorneys, insurance adjusters, and referral sources
- Handle medical records requests and daily administrative tasks
- Assist providers and clinical staff with front office workflow
- Maintain professionalism and excellent patient communication at all times
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years prior front desk receptionist experience in a medical office
- Family medicine office experience preferred
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Software Experience Preferred
- Eclipse EHR
- MDToolbox
- Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Fujitsu Rack2Filer
- PA PDMP
- Pear Portal/Availity
- General EMR / medical office software systems
Compensation & Benefits
- $20–$25 per hour (based on experience)
