Monitors the status of plant rooms at all times, with special attention to the following systems:
Medical air compressors and control panels
Medical air receiving vessel
Medical air drying unit (filters & traps)
Vacuum pumps system and receiver vessels
Emergency oxygen and air manifolds
Nitrous oxide gas manifold
Automatic alarm system for low/high warnings and LOX plant
Performs standard gas tests as required for system maintenance
Maintains tool issuance and availability levels
Ensures safe working practices are adhered to at all times
Reports daily on checklists and refilling orders, sends orders via email to the MGPS supplier, and ensures adequate medical gas store capacity is maintained
Develops a monthly schedule for the gas handler team, ensuring that all team members follow standards for cylinder replacements and liquid oxygen tank refills
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the maintenance and operation of medical gas systems, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Education: Technical certification or diploma in Medical Gas or a related field.
