The opportunity
The Medical Graphic Designer will support both internal and external partners to develop and coordinate all data visualization and artwork activities of Scientific Communication deliverables. This includes follow-up on approval status and collaborating with internal medical teams, scientific writers, and authors. This role requires enhanced organizational and prioritization skills as well as being able to multi-task and work under pressure while maintaining a critically high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
How you’ll spend your day
Design & Development
  • Create high-quality data visualizations and scientific content for deliverables including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, and slide decks, lexicons, infographics, scientific illustrations/animations, and interactive interfaces.
  • Adapt visual content: Adapt tables, artwork (figures and graphs) to meet journal or congress-specific formatting guidelines.
  • Develop advanced PowerPoint templates and animations to enhance scientific storytelling.
  • Ensure all artwork aligns with Teva’s publication process and Good Publication Practices
  • Track and manage approval workflows, including facilitating reviews within Teva’s publication database to meet project timelines.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, scientific writers, and authors to ensure visualizations are scientifically accurate, compliant, and impactful.
  • Collaborate effectively with global teams across time zones, including North America and Europe, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability in a virtual working environment.
  • Incorporate feedback and ensure alignment with congress-specific or brand-specific design standards.
  • Maintain proactive communication and coordination to support timely delivery of high-quality scientific assets.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the broader Scientific Communications team.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards Adhere to internal SOPs, style guides, and established workflows to ensure consistency, compliance, and brand alignment.
  • Maintain exceptional accuracy and attention to detail across all visual assets and related tasks.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing content development process, including the use of AI tools, structured content libraries, and digital asset management systems.
  • Support the development of derivative content assets such as field medical affairs materials, congress preparation content, and other digital assets.
  • Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to optimize efficiency and quality.
Your experience and qualifications
  • Education: College Diploma in related discipline
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in graphic design, animation or web technologies, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Prior experience in designing medical or scientific content is highly desirable
