1. Academic and Instructional Duties
- Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical instruction according to the prescribed curriculum (INC, PCI, Paramedical Boards).
- Develop engaging teaching materials, manage lecture schedules, and conduct fair and rigorous internal assessments.
- Mentor students and supervise academic projects, dissertations, and research activities.
2. Clinical and Laboratory Practice
- Nursing Faculty: Supervise students during clinical postings in hospitals and community health settings, ensuring patient safety and ethical practice.
- Paramedical Faculty: Conduct hands-on training in specialized labs (e.g., Pathology, Radiology) and ensure the maintenance and safe operation of technical equipment.
- Coordinate mandatory student internships and practical rotations required for certification.
3. Institutional Compliance and Administration
- Ensure all departmental operations, curriculum delivery, and infrastructure are in continuous compliance with the respective regulatory bodies (PCI for Pharmacy, INC for Nursing, and relevant state/national boards for Paramedical programs).
- Maintain accurate academic, clinical, and administrative records necessary for internal audits and external inspections.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and student counseling/welfare activities.
Specific Qualifications by Position
1. Head of Department (HOD) – Pharmacy
- Qualification: Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Mandatory: Valid registration with a State Pharmacy Council.
- Experience: Significant administrative leadership experience (5+ years) at a senior level, with a strong background in PCI compliance and accreditation.
2. Faculty – M.Sc. Nursing
- Qualification: M.Sc. Nursing (in a relevant specialization).
- Mandatory: Valid RN/RM registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Experience: Relevant teaching or clinical experience post-M.Sc.
3. Faculty – DMLT, DRT and other (Paramedical)
- Qualification: Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiology/Imaging Technology, or an allied health science subject.
- Experience: Proven expertise in laboratory instruction and management, with experience coordinating clinical practice for paramedical diplomas.
