Medical lab Technician /Technologist

Medical lab Technician /Technologist are responsible for accurately processing, analyzing and reporting laboratory results with limited supervision while maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.

Must understand quality control monitoring, computer applications, troubleshooting when necessary.

Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance

Perform a variety of routine and special laboratory procedures as authorized by the Manager or Director including rotation through at least three (3) areas of the Clinical Lab: Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunology/Serology, and Specimen Processing

Operate laboratory equipment and instruments; record data and maintain equipment

Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed

Use universal safety precautions to protect self and co-workers from bio-hazardous materials, including blood-borne pathogens

B.SC Science degree or equivalent

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
