Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Join our close-knit, patient-focused family practice team in Naples, Florida! We're a welcoming small clinic dedicated to providing personalized care to our community. We're seeking a reliable Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to handle in-house lab testing with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine laboratory tests (hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, etc.) on blood, urine, and other specimens.
• Collect and process samples (including phlebotomy when needed).
• Operate and maintain lab equipment, perform quality control, and ensure accurate results.
• Maintain records, follow safety protocols, and support physicians with timely reporting.
• Accurately record and analyze test results in the LIS.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining adequate stock levels.
• Communicate test results and lab findings to physicians and healthcare staff as required.
• Participate in laboratory quality improvement initiatives.

Schedule & Hours:

• Clinic is open Mon-Fri 8a-8p and Sat-Sun 9a-5p.
• Part-time: 20-25 hours/week.
• Full-time: 38-40 hours/week.
• Includes every other weekend (shift hours to be discussed)
• Possibility of cross training in the Drug Screen Department as backup.

Compensation & Benefits:

Requirements:

• Active MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent preferred).
• Florida licensure/eligibility as required.
• Experience in a clinical lab setting (outpatient or family practice a plus).
• Strong attention to detail, phlebotomy skills, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and procedures.
• May require standing for extended periods of time and handling biological specimens.
