About us:

The Comprehensive Infectious Disease Center has been providing exceptional health care in the Tulsa area since 2007.

You have a chance to provide support to the office and administer quality patient care. As a Medical Scribe you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support our doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. We provide an opportunity for individuals aspiring to be in the medical field to experience healthcare. On the job training is provided for applicants.

Duties:

Scribe responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

• Rooming patients and documenting history of present illness

• Providing a summary of the medical record to the physician before patient encounters.

• Preparing charts before visits and amending charts after visits

• Accompanying the physician/PA during patient visits

• Performing simple wound dressings/PICC dressing changes

• Answering phone calls from patients/providers/pharmacists

• Performing antibiotic infusions.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Typing speed of 55-60 wpm

• Medical terminology

• Pleasant disposition, teachable.

• Interpersonal communication skills

• Professionalism

• Ability to multitask

• Ability to work well under pressure

Requirements

• Punctuality

• Scrubs are required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
