Medical Office Receptionist

DISC Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Medical Office Receptionist for our Valencia, CA location. Expect to work 20 hours per week in this position.

In this position, you will:

• Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.

• Maintain appearance of the lobby

• Answer/transfer incoming phone calls

• Prepare charts for surgery patients and readies for nurse review

• Obtain lab work and medical clearance for patients

• Assist with credentialing, medical records, accounts payable, billing/collections, insurance verification, and clinical logs as needed

• Perform other medical office functions, as needed

To ensure success in this role, you should have:

• High school Diploma/GED

• Two years’ experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient surgery center, or related field

• Experience with Excel, Word, medical billing software and applications

• Working knowledge of Medical Terminology

• The ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment with frequent interruptions

• Be able to lift 30lbs and be able to walk, stand, bend and reach for prolonged periods.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00/hour
