Medical Officer – Cardiology

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac and cardiovascular conditions.
  • Conduct patient examinations, review medical histories, and develop treatment plans.
  • Assist consultants and specialists in cardiac procedures and interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to medical emergencies as required.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, including ECGs, echocardiograms, and laboratory results.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and healthcare regulations.
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac health, treatment plans, and preventive care.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the relevant medical council.
  • Valid medical license/registration.
  • Completion of house job/internship from a recognized institution.
  • Relevant experience in cardiology or internal medicine will be preferred.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
