Medical Officer – Emergency Room (ER)
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Room.
- Provide immediate medical care for emergencies, trauma cases, and critically ill patients.
- Stabilize patients and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform emergency procedures as required and coordinate referrals to specialists.
- Monitor patient progress and ensure timely documentation of medical records.
- Collaborate with consultants, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
- Participate in emergency response and resuscitation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the relevant medical council.
- Valid PMDC/PMC registration or equivalent professional license.
- Completion of house job/internship from a recognized institution.
- Experience in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Critical Care will be preferred.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS will be an added advantage.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in rotating shifts.
