- Diagnosis and Treatment: Evaluate and diagnose patients with cancer, developing individualized treatment plans that may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
- Patient Management: Monitor patient progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary and managing side effects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Research and Education: Stay updated on the latest advancements in oncology, participate in clinical trials, and educate patients and their families about treatment options and prognosis.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
