<Duties>

  • Greet patients warmly and handle check-in/check-out procedures with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) system(Omni)ensuring optimal clinic flow
  • Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process payments accurately using medical billing and coding knowledge including CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 codes
  • Manage patient records meticulously, review documentation for accuracy, and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with excellent phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and take detailed messages when necessary
  • Assist with medical intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical history in EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix
  • Support medical administrative functions such as filing, data entry, appointment reminders, and managing clinic supplies

<Experience>

  • Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a healthcare front desk role within a clinical or dental setting
  • Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing practices
  • Experience verifying insurance benefits and Medicare claims processing
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10-key and proficiency in health information management software
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding patient service with compassionate communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly valued
  • Office management experience including scheduling, filing, documentation review, and handling multi-line phone systems

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.75 - $26.19 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
