Experience

  • Requires at least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting or healthcare administrative role.
  • Candidates should have a proven track record of handling front-desk operations and a portfolio or documented history of managing social media accounts or marketing campaigns for small to medium-sized businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage front-desk operations including patient check-in/out, complex appointment scheduling, and insurance verification.
  • Execute marketing strategies by creating and posting engaging content across social media platforms, managing CRM databases for patient outreach, and coordinating email marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems and handle high-volume phone calls with professional decorum.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR platforms such as Athenahealth, Kareo, AdvancedMD, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Technical mastery of Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and social media management tools.
  • Soft skills include exceptional multitasking, conflict resolution, empathetic communication, and the ability to manage a busy calendar while meeting marketing deadlines.

Education & Certification

  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in Medical Office Management, Digital Marketing, or HIPAA compliance are highly valued.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with SEO basics and graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Spark.
  • Previous exposure to healthcare-specific billing cycles and a deep understanding of patient confidentiality laws.
  • Fluency in a second language is a significant plus for diverse patient demographics.
