Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression at the front desk or via phone
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls efficiently and courteously
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process insurance verifications accurately
- Manage check in/check out process: Checking patient's in for their appointments, scheduling follow up visits and collecting copayments. Provides message management for patients, family and staff including relaying information, confirmation of services, and timely follow up. Displays an understanding/sensitivity of each patient's unique situation. Acts as a front-line liaison for the practice. Performs clerical duties to assist with daily operations of the of the practice including:- Accurate and complete registration
- Collect and review patient documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy for medical records and billing purposes
- Manage medical records filing, scanning, and retrieval while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards

Requirements
- Minimum Education-Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum Work Experience - One to two (1-2) years healthcare office experience strongly preferred but not required; knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Required Classes/Skills - BLS - Basic Life Support
- Strong customer service skills both in person and by telephone required.
- Prior eCW experience for scheduling and registration preferred.
- Previous interactions with patients and families preferred.
- Attention to detail in documentation review and data entry; ability to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA regulations
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
