About Us:
Clinica Sabah Group is seeking The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient medical records in accordance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations, UAE healthcare laws, and hospital policies. This role is pivotal in supporting clinical and administrative operations, facilitating seamless access to health information, and improving the quality of medical data, with proven experience working in medical groups and monitoring work on modern medical systems and software.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Medical Records Management:
- Supervise the creation, updating, archiving, and retrieval of both paper-based and electronic medical records.
- Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and filed promptly.
- Monitor the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, ensuring proper and efficient use, and coordinate with IT teams to resolve technical issues.
2. Compliance & Confidentiality:
- Ensure compliance with local and international healthcare standards related to patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Conduct regular audits to identify gaps and ensure quality.
- Implement corrective actions for non-compliance.
3. Departmental Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between the Medical Records Department and clinical/administrative departments, including nursing units, physicians, billing, and insurance.
- Facilitate access to records for authorized users.
- Ensure timely delivery of discharge summaries and medical reports.
4. Reporting & Data Quality:
- Prepare and analyze reports on medical records statistics, turnaround times, and documentation quality.
- Identify errors or delays and propose practical solutions to improve performance.
- Support quality improvement initiatives through accurate health data reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience in medical groups or large hospitals.
- Experience in monitoring work on EMR/HIS systems.
- Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare laws, DHA regulations, and privacy requirements.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure.
