A Medical Records Technician manages patient health information by organizing, maintaining, and updating medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. They play a crucial role in the healthcare system by handling administrative tasks related to patient data, such as coding diagnoses and procedures, and ensuring data security. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems:Entering, updating, and retrieving patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Compiling and organizing patient information:Gathering data from various sources, including doctor's notes, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Coding diagnoses and procedures:Utilizing standard coding systems like ICD, CPT, and HCPCS to classify medical information for billing and data analysis.
  • Verifying and updating patient records:Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of patient information:Adhering to HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Retrieving medical information:Assisting healthcare providers with accessing patient records for patient care, billing, and reporting.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals:Working with doctors, nurses, and other staff to facilitate communication and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Conducting audits and quality control:Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical records.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
