Medical Sales Executive

Starting Location: Trumbull, Connecticut

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented individual to fill a position on our Sales Team. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring & closing new business contracts with healthcare clients. In addition, you will maintain, develop and expand our current client relationships. Minimum Experience/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Electronics, Biomedical, Business, Marketing, or other relevant equivalent
• 5 years of successful sales account executive experience: medical equipment (biomedical/imaging) preferred
• Ability to develop and implement personal and company sales strategy in a competitive marketplace
• Ability to work independently and in a team relationship
• Proven organizational and time-management skills
• In-depth oral and written (English) communication skills, business management skills
• Proficient in MS® Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database software
• Proven problem-solving ability, analytical skills and attention to detail
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• Available for occasional air travel and overnight stays

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Acquires and maintains a high level of knowledge of NovaMed services
• Independently develops sales leads through a variety of approaches including in-person visits, cold calls, emails, networking, upselling, etc.
• Develops and updates distribution lists for marketing materials
• Effectively articulates the value of NovaMed services to potential clients at all management levels, including CEO/CFO
• Creates and provides confident, energetic targeted presentations to potential clients
• Cooperates in contract negotiations
• Performs renewals with existing clients
• Personally acquires and drives deals to closure in a highly competitive environment
• Maintains a positive, productive, proactive working relationship with sales team and senior management
• Provides documentation of activities as required
• Actively identifies and addresses business and technical questions from customer and internal staff
• Routinely informs President of activities and plans to expand business
• Represents NovaMed at selected professional trade shows and conferences
• Establishes and maintains excellent communication and cooperation with NovaMed’s service operations and customer support staff
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
