Medical Sales Representative

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Medical Sales Representative on a Direct Hire basis. This role is remote based out of the greater Portland, OR metro territory.


Summary


This role is responsible for driving revenue growth within a defined territory by promoting and supporting a portfolio of medical products. The position focuses on building strong customer relationships, expanding existing accounts, and developing new business opportunities. Success in this role requires a balance of sales execution, clinical/product knowledge, and effective territory management.


Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets within the assigned territory by developing new accounts and expanding existing relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and administrative staff
  • Deliver product presentations and training to clinical staff, ensuring proper usage and understanding of procedures
  • Identify and execute strategies to grow market share within competitive and existing accounts
  • Maintain accurate account records, forecasts, and territory plans to optimize coverage and results
  • Manage field inventory and expenses to balance product availability with cost efficiency
  • Assess customer needs, address objections, and secure commitments through consultative selling approaches
  • Continuously develop product, clinical, and sales knowledge through training and hands-on learning opportunities


Required Skills

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience; medical device or healthcare-related sales experience preferred
  • Ability to manage a sales territory, including account planning, forecasting, and inventory oversight
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and reporting tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, present, and build trust with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to travel within the territory and reside locally
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience training clinical staff or working in a healthcare environment is preferred


Additional Information

This is a home-based role requiring travel within the metro area. Compensation includes a $65k base salary plus uncapped commission, with OTE around $120k (top reps can double this), along with a comprehensive benefits package.
