Medical Scheduler

Spine Institute of Central Florida (SICF) is a thriving world-class Orthopedic medical clinic that specializes in treating patients from Pediatrics to Geriatrics with Spinal issues. We are looking for a Medical Appointment Scheduler to join our scheduling team.

Job Description

• Arrange and maintain patient appointments, to include physical therapy appointments, by phone in a call center environment.
• Making outgoing calls to confirm patient appointments
• Take inbound calls relating to new patients, appointments and patient question
• Experience with managing a high volume of calls
• High volume of patients in medical practices
• Must have experience with Electronic Health Record systems (EHR)
• Good, friendly and professional rapport with patients and co workers

Requirements and Qualifications

• 1+ years of medical scheduling experience preferred
• High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to multi-task while producing accurate work
• Office proficient- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Effectively communicates using proper grammar and punctuation and written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the use of proper grammar and punctuation
• Technologically adept including internet browsing, software and the use of various office equipment
• Presents in a polite, polished, and professional manner upon dealing with patients over the phone and with co- workers
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is preferred
