Medical Scheduler

First Step Therapy Poinciana provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and behavioral therapy to children in the clinic setting.

Candidate must have Outstanding and Professional customer service and communication skills. Accurately enter patient demographics, medical history, and insurance information into medical records system within a timely manner. Answer continuous phone calls in a high call volume setting. Call patients to schedule appointments for various types of evaluations and treatments. Must be able to manage cancellations for rescheduling clients effectively. Greet, check-in, verify information, collect payments, and check-out patients. Facilitate phone calls from physician offices and patients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Positive attitude and attention to detail is a MUST
• 2 years medical office experience.
• Scheduling, cancellation management
• 2 years customer service experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
• Knowledge of general office equipment (faxes, google docs)
• General mathematical skills
• Great organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Outstanding costumer service and communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated to fill various job responsibilities and willingness to cross train to other departments.
• Must be able to work flexible hours- some Saturdays might apply.
• Light housekeeping in clinic
• Hours 7am to 4pm availability

Experience:

• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
• Healthcare: 2 years (Preferred)
• Receptionist: 2 years (Required)
• Bilingual Spanish candidates are welcome ( Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
