Job Title: Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL)
Location: Dubai

For this purpose, the Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a key internal expert, providing a field-based scientific and clinical support to healthcare professionals to maintain a high level of medical, scientific and technical knowledge and expertise in relation to Dermatology & Aesthetics with a focus in UAE (KSA as needed support.)
Play a key role in successfully launching new treatment options for treating various dermatoses and support A&C
Support and facilitated field force education and training to ensure seamless implementation of medical strategies
Act as the primary point of contact for new products in therapeutic dermatology and A&C business (including internal and external medical-scientific projects, non-interventional and investigator-initiated trials - IIT)
Building relationships and maintaining very close contact with medical experts and local representatives of scientific societies, 80 % of time allocated to field activities.
Collaborate with the team to implement medical-scientific strategies, focusing on developing central/key strategies for clinical studies and other projects
Establish strong cross-departmental relationships, working closely with medical office/affairs staff, marketing teams, and sales teams
Actively participate in congresses, staying updated with the latest findings in relevant indication areas and market trends while providing expert insights to the organization
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Goals
Advance science and standards of care for patients and healthcare providers.
Enhance Galderma’s scientific credibility with national and regional key thought leaders (KTLs/KOLs).
Act as the main point of contact for KTLs/KOLs to facilitate medical-scientific projects, clinical studies, NIS, and investigator-initiated trials (IITs).
Identify, develop and maintain contact with local, regional and national KTLs/KOLs and experts through internally approved field engagement plans
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with KTLs/KOLs and academic centers in the therapeutic area to ensure access to current medical and scientific information and to facilitate Galderma research and educational priorities and strategic initiatives
Information & Support
Ensure that KTLs/KOLs can access all the practical and clinically relevant information and solutions they need to use Galderma’s products efficiently and safely
Interact with, and support the needs of, Tier 1, 2 and 3 external experts
Work to communicate information and facilitate dialogue about Gladerma’s compound in development (Nemolizumab) in a strictly scientific, non-promotional manner, and in full compliance with applicable national laws and regulations, guidelines, Galderma’s policies and procedures and accepted standards of best practice
Independent organization and implementation of advisory boards
Carry out and support sales force education and training courses
Deliver credible scientific and medical Slide kits to physicians, healthcare providers and other stakeholders as needed
Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences
Support scientific dialogue and collaborations in the areas of research, medical and scientific exchange, including facilitation of requests for scientific and medical information
As appropriate and needed; produce, review, and update internally approved scientific presentations for assigned therapeutic areas
Maintain a high level of scientific knowledge to ensure credible dissemination of scientific information and informed scientific dialogue with KOLs/KTLs
Gather and generate actionable insights through: Attending congresses, engaging with external stakeholders, staying updated in relevant scientific literature, preparing summaries, and presenting key perspectives to Galderma teams including competitor analyses
Collaboration & Communication
Close interdepartmental cooperation with the medical office staff and relevant marketing & sales teams
Support internal teams such as sales and marketing to develop their scientific expertise through the delivery of scientific update presentations
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence
Communicate and interact with the Global and International Medical Affairs teams
Serve as a point of contact within the Medical Affairs Team for KTLs/KOLs within the UAE in order to satisfy their needs for scientific knowledge in a therapeutic area and, when requested, relevant Galderma medicines, to support their safe, effective and appropriate use
Participate in the selection process to identify appropriately qualified thought leaders Galderma would wish to engage in collaborative efforts – such as potential research collaborations, or educational and advisory roles (Advisory Boards, Congresses, Symposia, etc.) while ensuring a high level of scientific or educational integrity in these collaborative efforts
Compliance & Legal Guidance
Ensure that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to all applicable local, global and national laws, regulations, guidelines, Galderma’s policies and accepted standards of best practices
Support Galderma research by identifying investigators, undertaking scientific exchange and providing feedback and insight to medical and clinical teams
Respond to unsolicited requests for medical and scientific information
Utilize modern technology platforms to maximize efficiency and effectiveness and limit travel requirements. Ensure the integrity of the scientific data used in promotional claims and materials, if requested
Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to Code of Conduct, fleet, IT and confidentiality
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Medical, Pharmacy, or higher degree (e.g., MSc, PhD) in Life sciences.
Dermatology, Aesthetics, or Immunology-Biologics experience is desirable.
Several years of relevant medical, research, or pharmaceutical/biotech experience preferred.
Experience liaising with medical professionals and opinion leaders.
Proven ability to develop and present scientific/medical content to diverse audiences.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Skilled in meeting planning, facilitation, and technical platforms.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, matrix environment.
Highly organized, able to prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Ability to build credibility and relationships with medical professionals.
English: spoken and written as a second language for scientific purposes
