Duties

• Transcribe detailed physician-patient interactions in real-time, capturing vital signs, symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
• Navigate and utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to input accurate medical data.
• Assist healthcare providers by documenting patient histories, physical examinations, and procedural notes with clarity and accuracy.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and hospital policies.
• Support the medical team by verifying the completeness of documentation and clarifying any discrepancies or ambiguities in clinical notes.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures to accurately interpret provider instructions.
• Perform transcription tasks with speed and accuracy using typing skills optimized for fast-paced clinical environments.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a medical office setting or as a medical scribe is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used in healthcare facilities is essential.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures enhances performance.
• Demonstrated ability to transcribe accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with medical documentation standards and records management is advantageous.
• Strong typing skills with high accuracy rates are necessary for efficient note-taking.
