Medical Scribe

Full Time Traveling ophthalmic scribe needed for busy ophthalmic practice in Norman. Great company to work for with a competitive benefit package.

Position does require over 65% traveling. Clinic locations include Edmond, Norman, South OKC, Shawnee and Weatherford.

Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include accompany physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician. Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc. and document any procedures performed by the physician. Coding and billing of visits and procedures at time or service. This position will also handle refill and prior authorization requests for medications.

One year medical office experience required.

Ophthalmic and EHR experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Typing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical office experience: 1 year (Preferred)
