Key Responsibilities
Clinical Documentation
- Document patient histories, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans as dictated by the provider.
- Enter orders for tests, imaging, referrals, and medications as directed (per practice policy and state regulations).
- Update patient charts with relevant clinical information, including vitals, medical history, and visit notes.
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory, coding, and compliance standards.
Workflow Support
- Prepare charts prior to patient visits, ensuring all necessary information is available.
- Track and follow up on diagnostic tests, imaging, and consult notes as instructed by the provider.
- Assist with closing charts in a timely manner to support billing and operational workflows.
- Coordinate with medical assistants, front desk, and clinical teams to maintain smooth patient flow.
Communication & Coordination
- Relay provider instructions to staff when appropriate and within scope.
- Support patient education by documenting instructions and ensuring clarity in the after visit summary.
- Maintain professional, respectful communication with patients, providers, and team members.
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Adhere to HIPAA and all privacy regulations.
- Follow practice policies related to documentation, coding, and scope of responsibility.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of the electronic health record (EHR).

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical office, scribing, or clinical support role strongly preferred.
- Strong typing speed and accuracy (typically 60+ WPM).
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and common clinical workflows.
- Experience with EHR systems (Advanced MD, Care Cloud, eClinicalWorks, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Working Conditions & Location
- In clinic role with our provider located in Frisco, TX
- Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and typing.
- Direct exposure to clinical environments and patient interactions.
- May require occasional schedule flexibility based on provider needs.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
