Medical Scribe

Job description

Total Extended Care Services is looking for a full-time medical scribe to be in person with a provider at various locations.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist healthcare providers in documenting patient encounters, procedures, and medical histories

• Accurately transcribe medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and complete documentation

• Prepare and organize patient charts for appointments and procedures

• Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a medical assistant and/or a medical scribe or in a similar role is preferred

• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
