Medical Scribe

Location: Westwood, NJ

Summary/Objective:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. The Medical Scribe is a vital member of the medical staff, who will assists physicians with paperwork .

You’ll be required to complete summaries of what was discussed during the consultation or treatment session and referral letters sent on behalf of your patient’s insurer.

Previous candidates have taken a gap year between undergrad and PA/Nursing/Medical School and would like a hands on experience working with top Orthopaedic Spine Surgeons.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing medical notes for accuracy, editing, and submitting to insurance carriers.
• Open and create follow-up items to be addressed following patient encounters.
• Working with Physician/Doctor to complete and submit medical records within 24 hours of encounters.
• Completing administrative tasks efficiently.
• May be assigned various clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Medical Scribe or similar role.
• Ability to expertly document patient care and transcribe patient appointments
• Assure the accuracy of all documentation and records
• Advanced computer skills to transcribe and record information across our network
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelors Degree in Science/PreMed preferred
• Higher Education/Aspirations are highly desired

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
