We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Virtual Medical Scribe to support our wound care providers. This remote position plays a critical role in improving provider efficiency and ensuring accurate, timely clinical documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, has strong medical terminology knowledge, and is confident documenting detailed wound assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time during wound care visits via secure remote connection
• Accurately record clinical information in the EMR, including:
• History of Present Illness (HPI)
• Physical exam findings
• Detailed wound assessments (measurements, tissue type, drainage, wound characteristics, periwound condition)
• Procedures such as debridement and advanced wound treatments
• Treatment plans, orders, and provider recommendations
• Ensure completion and accuracy of provider notes for review and signature
• Maintain organized and up-to-date patient charts
• Support providers by anticipating documentation needs and maintaining efficient workflow
• Follow all HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

Qualifications

Required:

• Prior medical scribe experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent typing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Reliable internet connection and computer

Preferred:

• Experience in wound care, vascular care, dermatology, surgical, or SNF documentation
• Experience with EMR systems (PointClickCare, Athena, eClinicalWorks, Epic, etc.)
• Understanding of wound measurements, staging, and documentation standards
