Medical Scribe

Full Time Position

Tentative Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 10-6pm and Friday 10-4pm (with some slight variations in the schedule)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Medical Scribe to join our practice. In this role, you will provide direct support to the physician by preparing accurate and timely medical notes. The ideal candidate types fast, is very dependable, professional, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced and busy medical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Documentation:

• Accurately transcribe and prepare medical notes and documentation as directed by the physician, including patient histories, assessments, treatment plans, and follow-ups.
• Enter information into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems in a timely and confidential manner.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Transcribe medical information including patient history, physical examinations, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
• Support patient flow by helping manage physician's schedule, ensuring patients are seen in a timely manner, and coordinating with the physician and other staff members.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and basic medical terminology. At the present time we use drchrono EMR.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Demonstrates patience and professionalism when interacting with patients, staff, and physician(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Office Assistant certification or diploma.
• Experience with medical scribing or transcription.

Working Conditions:

• Private medical practice setting.
• May require occasional flexibility in hours based on the physician’s needs.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
