Duties

• Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations, ensuring accuracy and completeness in real-time.
• Assist healthcare providers by documenting patient histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Manage and update medical records efficiently, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Utilize medical terminology and physiology knowledge to accurately interpret provider instructions and patient information.
• Support the documentation of emergency room visits or urgent care encounters with precision under high-pressure situations.
• Collaborate with medical staff to verify information, clarify details, and ensure seamless recordkeeping throughout the patient visit.
• Maintain proficiency with various EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems and adapt to different documentation workflows as needed.

Skills

• Strong transcription skills with excellent typing speed and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical records management.
• Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for electronic documentation.
• Knowledge of medical documentation standards and procedures for maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics.
