Medical Scribe

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical documentation systems. As a Medical Scribe, you will ensure that all medical records are meticulously maintained, allowing physicians to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions during examinations and procedures.
• Document medical histories, physical exams, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure precise documentation.
• Assist healthcare providers in managing patient flow and ensuring efficient clinic operations.
• Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any discrepancies or incomplete information in patient records.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality and documentation practices.
• Support the healthcare team by performing additional administrative tasks as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with medical records systems and electronic health record (EHR) platforms is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential for accurate documentation.
• Excellent typing skills with the ability to transcribe information quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.75 - $15.00 per hour
