Duties

• Transcribe detailed medical notes during patient visits using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Assist healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms, gathering supplies, and supporting procedures to facilitate efficient patient flow.
• Take vital signs, record medical histories, and perform basic clinical assessments under supervision to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Maintain organized medical records by updating charts, managing documentation of medical histories, test results, and treatment notes in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing incoming calls to enhance clinic operations.
• Ensure all clinical areas are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care activities while adhering to infection control protocols.
• Demonstrate physiology and anatomy knowledge to accurately document complex medical information and assist with emergency room procedures when necessary.

Skills

• Proficiency in transcription with excellent typing speed and accuracy to capture detailed clinical notes efficiently.
• Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for seamless documentation and record management.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to ensure precise communication of clinical information.
• Ability to handle sensitive medical records confidentially while maintaining compliance with privacy laws.
