Our integrated model combines primary care, chiropractic care, and physical therapy, allowing us to deliver coordinated, patient-centered treatment for both general medical and injury-related cases. We specialize in treating motor vehicle accident (MVA) and workers’ compensation patients, while maintaining a strong foundation in family medicine.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Scribe to work directly alongside the physician during patient encounters. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, real-time clinical documentation and improving workflow efficiency across both our primary care and rehabilitation services.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment, has strong medical terminology knowledge, and is highly proficient with computers and electronic medical records.

Key Responsibilities

• Accompany the physician during patient visits and document clinical encounters in real time
• Accurately enter history of present illness (HPI), review of systems (ROS), physical exams, and assessments
• Review and summarize:
• Medical records
• Imaging reports (MRI, X-ray, CT)
• Specialist consult notes
• Physical therapy and rehabilitation reports
• Assist with daily clinical documentation and chart completion
• Prepare and organize charts prior to patient visits
• Ensure documentation supports proper coding and billing compliance
• Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain efficient patient flow
• Assist with follow-up documentation, referrals, and order tracking as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, or similar role preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Familiarity with:
• Referral portals (e.g., CoverMyMeds, Navinet, LabCorp, Quest)
• E-prescribing systems (experience with MDToolBox is a plus)
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Preferred Experience

• Experience in family medicine, orthopedics, or physical therapy settings
• Familiarity with personal injury (MVA) and workers’ compensation cases
• Understanding of clinical documentation workflows for billing and coding
