Job Description

Seeking an energetic and versatile full time Medical Scribe for busy Ophthalmology Practice in Silver Spring, MD. Medical Scribes work closely with our doctors to provide real time charting of physician and patient encounters during medical exams. Must be personable and multitask as they are responsible for a variety of clerical tasks that include retrieving medical records, documenting the results of diagnostic tests, and preparing discharge instructions, while maintaining the flow of the clinic.

Requirements:

• Responsible with a mature demeanor and a passion for medicine
• Strong communication and writing skills to be able to effectively communicate with clinical and non-clinical personnel
• Computer proficiency and ability to type 60 words per minute
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment
• Self-motivated and highly organized with excellent follow-up/follow-through skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a PLUS
• Experience with medical terminology is highly desired
• A college degree, certification as a medical assistant, pre-med/nursing student is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
