Medical Scribe

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time during examinations and procedures. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a medical environment while enhancing their understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. We can train a motivated candidate. We currently are interested in candidtates who looking to go into a medical field such as physicians assistant, nurse practitioner or is premed in a gap year.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe patient encounters, including history, physical exams, and treatment plans, into electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Document all relevant medical information as directed by healthcare providers during patient visits.
• Assist in maintaining organized medical records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and anatomy to ensure precise documentation.
• Support the healthcare team by managing administrative tasks related to patient care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office or familiarity with medical documentation is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Proficient typing skills with the ability to transcribe quickly and accurately.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
