Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time during clinical visits using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) or EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
  • Document detailed medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions with precision.
  • Assist healthcare providers by organizing and managing medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with privacy regulations and institutional standards.
  • Support physicians in reviewing and updating patient charts, lab results, imaging reports, and other relevant medical data.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures to ensure accurate transcription and recordkeeping.
  • Use typing skills efficiently to keep pace with fast-moving clinical environments while maintaining high accuracy levels.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation workflows and ensure timely updates of patient information.

Experience

  • Prior experience in a medical office setting or as a medical scribe is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR or EHR systems for documentation purposes.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures.
  • Experience with transcription tasks that require high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with medical records management and compliance standards is advantageous.
  • Excellent typing speed combined with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous exposure to emergency room settings or urgent care environments is a plus but not mandatory. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
