Duties

• Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient encounters, capturing vital signs, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans with precision.
• Assist healthcare providers by documenting medical histories, physical examinations, and procedural details in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Ensure all medical documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards for accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support physicians by managing real-time documentation of patient interactions, allowing them to focus on delivering quality care.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records, including lab results, imaging reports, and medication lists.
• Utilize strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret provider instructions and patient information.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to verify completeness of documentation and assist in managing emergency room or urgent care documentation when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical office settings or as a Medical Scribe with familiarity using EMR/EHR systems.
• Excellent transcription skills with fast typing speed and high accuracy.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and common clinical procedures.
• Prior experience working in emergency room environments is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of medical records management and adherence to privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
