Medical Scribe

Gretna Medical Center is seeking a candidate for an entry level position as a medical scribe. No experience necessary will train. Fast and accurate typing skills are necessary for this position. Applicants must complete the typing skills test to be considered. Bilingual candidates are a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accompany provider into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others
• List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the provider.
• Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications,
• Document any procedures performed by the physician

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
• Adhere to employer work
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
• Perform other duties to assist as a medical assistant as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour
