Medical Scribe

Full-time Medical Scribe needed for our In-patient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Practice. We are looking for someone to prep the charts prior to the provider seeing the patients for follow up.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe detailed patient-provider conversations into electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems with precision and speed.
• Assist healthcare providers by capturing comprehensive medical documentation during patient visits, including history, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and organized medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
• Utilize strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret clinical information.
• Support the clinical team by managing medical records requests, updating patient charts, and ensuring data integrity across systems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in typing and transcription to facilitate real-time documentation during fast-paced emergency room or outpatient visits.
• Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation workflows and utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for optimal patient care.

Experience

• Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems is essential for efficient documentation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures enhances performance in this role.
• Strong transcription skills combined with fast typing ability are critical for real-time documentation accuracy.
• Experience working in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics is a plus.
• Previous exposure to medical records management or medical documentation tasks will support your success as a Medical Scribe.
