Medical Scribe – Neuro-Hospitalists

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Texoma Medical Center (TMC)
Team Structure: Works with TIND Neuro-Hospitalist providers who rotate weekly

Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Scribe to support our Neuro-Hospitalist team at TMC. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in a medical practice who is comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment and can accurately document clinical encounters, assist with chart completion, and support billing workflow.

The Medical Scribe will work closely with rotating Neuro-Hospitalist providers to document patient encounters in real time, complete chart notes, enter billing charges, and help ensure accurate and timely medical record documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality support to both providers and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Scribe and document patient encounters for Neuro-Hospitalist providers in the electronic medical record
  • Help coordinate hospital follow-ups in the office
  • Complete accurate, detailed, and timely chart notes
  • Enter billing charges and assist with charge capture workflows
  • Support physicians with clinical documentation and other administrative tasks related to patient care
  • Assist with electronic prescribing as directed
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, and other members of the care team
  • Manage a high volume of work while maintaining quality and efficiency
  • Follow all practice protocols, compliance standards, and documentation processes

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a medical practice strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to rotating providers
  • Passion for helping others and supporting excellent patient care
