Position Summary: Our busy orthopedics office is recruiting for a part time medical scribe at the American Fork office.

Essential Job Functions:

• Begin patient notes prior to their office visit.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary technology. '
• Maintain patient records and other information as requested by the physician.
• Record office visits via electronic templates on behalf of the physician.
• Responsible for ensuring thoroughness of medical documentation.
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all patients and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Pre-med student is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, prioritization and organizational skills.
• Self-starter willing to work as a team member.
• Able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Proficient on computers. Able to type 60+ wpm.
• Working knowledge of electronic medical records and terminology.
