Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant

Shea ENT Clinic's #1 goal is patient care. We truly care about our patients and take our time to help with their needs. We have a Physician, Physician's Assistant and an Audiologist on staff.

We are an expanding small, fast paced, team oriented practice where everyone is cross trained.

We are seeking an energetic individual to join our team. The right candidate will be organized and have the ability to multitask.

Job description includes:

• Organized and can multitask.
• Check-in and check-out, scheduling appointments, collecting money from patients, answering phones, insurance verification and authorizations, processing medical records requests, and working the fax queue.
• Must be a self-starter and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT, and Audiology field.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly attitude are a must.
• Minimum one-year HANDS ON Medical Assistant experience - Current with certification or certification in process a plus but not required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• EMR experience
• Rooms patients and obtains medical history.
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms
• Monitoring prescriptions
• Assisting the physician in exam rooms for procedures as needed (i.e.: wax removal, biopsies, surgical procedures, etc.)
• Scribe for the physician and/or physician assistant
• Prepare specimens for laboratory pickup; follow pathology protocol; accurately keep pathology logs.
• Maintaining and ordering medical supplies
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments by CDC and ENTAAF guidelines
• Provide briefing of each patient prior to the physician entering the exam room
• Obtaining authorizations for diagnostic test
• Facilitate outgoing referral requests.

Spanish speaking is a MUST.

Pay based on experience.

Providers are here Monday through Thursday and occasionally Fridays.
