Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage front desk operations with professionalism and efficiency
  • Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes
  • Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems eClinicalWorks
  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes
  • Assist with medical billing and collections by submitting claims accurately and following up on unpaid accounts
  • Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette while providing outstanding patient service and administrative supportQualifications
  • Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar medical office role with clinic or dental experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR EClinicalWorks is a must
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software
  • Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform insurance verification efficiently
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing tasks
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations

Pay: $23.41 - $28.19 per hour
